Visual and interactive experiences about immunology for CosmoCaixa

As part of the opening of the CaixaResearch Institute, CosmoCaixa has introduced a new interactive module dedicated to the immune system, developed with the participation of DigaliX in collaboration with the scientific teams at the CaixaResearch Institute, which is part of the Top Science outreach space of the Univers Hall.
Under the title “The Power of the Immune System”, the space offers a visual and interactive journey through some of the major advances and challenges in immunology, transforming specialised scientific knowledge into an accessible, engaging and participatory experience for all audiences.
From the history of immunology to the therapies of the future
The experience explores how our understanding of the immune system has evolved and introduces visitors to some of the advances that are transforming medicine.
Through interactive content, visitors can explore concepts related to vaccines, allergies and cancer immunotherapy, as well as two approaches that have represented major advances in the treatment of certain types of cancer: CAR-T cell therapies and monoclonal antibodies.
An experience that also introduces the CaixaResearch Institute
The project also features a model of the CaixaResearch Institute, which uses an on-screen holographic representation to showcase some of the main objectives and research areas of the new centre.
The installation – designed, developed and built by DigaliX – turns the building itself into a communication element, helping visitors understand the role of the institute and its commitment to biomedical research.
