Digital tourism services with XTable and interactive webapp

The process of digitizing services of the Penedès Tourism Promotion Consortium incorporates XTable interactive tables in 3 of its visitor services points. The project improves the reception experience and, at the same time, offers support for the informant. Behind the collaborative work with the Penedès Tourism Promotion Consortium is the desire to promote and participate in the transformation of the tourism sector.

Through interaction with the device, the user will discover more than 70 places of tourist interest that can be visited. In addition, they will have all the information of the 190 companies of the Wine Route. The visitor will find high quality images, with detailed information and descriptions of what can be done and with all the geolocated points. Once the selection of the personalized route has been made based on your preferences, you can download it to your mobile phone.

WebAPP is the adaptation of the Interactive Tourism App compatible with tablets as a dynamic information tool, to distribute and be used in restaurants, accommodation, wineries, tourist resources, tourist offices, museums, etc.

The data provided by the application, such as the routes most consulted or the profile of users, can be used to improve or adapt the tourist offer to the interests of the visitor.

Technology is a good ally to achieve sustainable tourism that meets the needs of visitors and the sector, more efficient and demand oriented. The project has had the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council.

Other projects related to the Interactive Tourism App are its installation at the Barcelona Activa of Llacuna and Campus Nord headquarters, and at the Barcelona City Council tourist information office in Plaza Catalunya. The Girona Costa Brava Tourist Board also chose the application to help discover the main points of interest in the province of Girona and the Pyrenees.
