The City of Barcelona presents the Interactive Tourism App as a smart city solution in SCEWC16.
From 15th to the 17th of November speakers and exhibitors from more than 600 cities participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC). This is an event organized by Fira de Barcelona that started in 2011 and since then it has grown into an international consolidated date. Technology is one of the highlights of this meeting which exposes tools that can make big cities more sustainable and efficient.
“Interactive Tourism” is an application developed by Digalix in collaboration with the City Hall of Barcelona to be present in the different information points of the city. It helps to discover interesting routes in all the districts a part from the most well-known ones of the historical center.
The application is currently installed in the offices of Barcelona Activa in Llacuna and Campus Nord, and in the tourist information office in Plaça Catalunya.
