Science Forum, the immersive interactive expo of the SJD Hospital

We have designed the Science Forum for the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital, an immersive interactive room whose objective is to publicize issues related to health and the scientific advances in research carried out by the hospital.

The DigaliX team has been in charge of the art direction, graphic and space design, user experience and interface design (UX/UI). All the content was worked on together with the IRSJD (Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu), the coordinating entity of the project.

The Science Forum is located within the hospital premises by means of a modular structure that allows it to be easily transferred to other spaces. Through various interactive devices and didactic audiovisual resources, it offers an immersive experience to publicize the contents of the exhibition:

• Immersive projection with 5000 lumens laser projectors.
• 2 55” vertical totems with XHolo AR virtual assistant.
• Interactive central XTable table and 45º XTable table.
• 2 XFrame interactive screens.

Multimedia applications are interactive and multi-user. They include images, videos, infographics and didactic resources with a dynamic based on the game. All contents are easily updated, allowing you to easily change the theme of the exhibition.

The result is a versatile exhibition space that through gamification promotes knowledge, dissemination and the involvement of citizens, families and patients in research and innovation projects in pediatrics carried out by SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital.
