Talking about disruptive technology at the KIMconference
15 June, 2017/Innovation, Media
The tenth edition of the KIMconference was held on 7 June: a meeting that gathers companies, researchers and knowledge leaders in order to discuss innovation, R&D and their impact on society. This is organized annually by the KIM Global foundation, specialist in technology transfer. DigaliX was invited to talk about its products and their disruptive character.
Why are we disruptive? Because we are makers. Our philosophy is to anticipate future needs and to make new IoT interaction-based devices, such as the XTable —a new way to connect and to be in contact with other people, products and organizations. It was an innovative project that could be developed thanks to the Neotec subsidy, which is granted by the Spanish public entity CDTI. Currently, the XTable is employed in various sectors, such as education, restaurant business, tourism, health and marketing.
KIMconference also counted on the participation of our popular virtual assistant Lola: she was introduced 2 years ago at the Mobile World Congress and now she exists in real size and in augmented reality. She talked about her own skills and abilities — being designed for hotels and points of information, this is another way of interactivity resembling other virtual assistants such as Siri or Cortana.
And here’s something new: by the end of the meeting, we introduced for the first time our project Layers of Reality, focused on virtual reality, and our new device: GATE VR.
